every country has a museum that represents the countries history and background and how the country developed, its makes it interesting to tourist to realize where they are and lear more about the cultures believes and norms. just by walking into your countries museum take a look around aren't the statues, mannequins or even sculptures have an item of clothing that represent the countries culture ? sometimes in museums you would see remaining of the people that once made history or even lived in this world and were recognised for doing great things at thet time their belongings that were left behind are found and of course bought by the galleries or museums these items are highly cherished, the items that were left behind are usually accessories or very unique engravings on campuses, vases and at times necklaces. all of this is ancient fashion related.
a great example of fashion evolving from the past is : In the 16th century, "Elizabethan Corsets" the corset were extremely famous at the time they were designed to mold the torso into a cylindrical shape, and to flatten and raise the bust line women in the 16 century had to wear them and to me when a whole country dresses up in a certain way that to me screams culture clothing's and a trend !
what made corsets evolve from the 16 century to 2010 is A German woodcarving of 1520 shows a woman wearing a gown with a definite crease and fold in the fabric under the bust.
In Holbein's sketches of the 1520s and his portraits of the 1530s, however, stiffening is definitely required.
paintings in galleries are always recognized but the artist detailing and the item of clothing the person in the painting is wearing an example of that is : in the 16 century after the German woodcraving showcased a gown with a corset an artist In Holbein's sketches of the 1520s and his portraits of the 1530s.
THESE ARE A FEW PICTURES OF HOW FASHION WAS A PART OF HISTORY AND HOW IT EVOLVED TO 2010
